When the flu patient turned out to be a dentist and medical lecturer, his story became the most credible testimonial a hospital could ask for.
Inside OUJIA CREATIVE HOUSE’s process, from in-depth pre-production interviews and script alignment with the marketing team, to an editing approach that elevated an ordinary sit-down interview into cinematic storytelling
Before the Camera Rolls, We Listen First
Every great testimonial begins long before shooting day. It begins with listening. When Phyathai 2 Hospital assigned OUJIA CREATIVE HOUSE to produce a patient testimonial about an influenza case, our first step was scheduling a pre-interview with the patient to hear their story and genuine feelings firsthand. That conversation became the foundation of the script, giving the hospital’s marketing team a clear picture of the final video from the very start, and allowing every team involved to plan ahead so that shooting day would be as smooth and effortless as possible, especially for the patient.
The Plot Twist: Our Patient Was a Doctor
On interview day, we discovered something we never planned for. The patient was a dentist and medical lecturer, which meant we were hearing an illness story from someone who deeply understands medicine. He recalled every stage with remarkable precision, from the first symptoms to every moment of care he received from the doctors and nurses at Phyathai 2. This is exactly what made this testimonial uniquely powerful. When a doctor chooses to praise the care of fellow doctors, that credibility needs no advertising to back it up.
Editing Beyond the “Interview Clip”
After the shoot, the real challenge began in the editing room. The OUJIA team was determined to push this piece beyond a typical sit-down interview by designing the edit with the pacing and rhythm of a movie trailer, building mood and momentum that pulls viewers through the story until the very end. An ordinary illness story was transformed into an emotional viewing experience.
The Result: Approval, Applause, and a Difference You Can Feel
When the final cut was delivered to Phyathai 2’s marketing team, it was approved with praise from everyone for how distinctly different it felt. The combination of a detailed, credible story told by a medical lecturer and cinematic trailer-style editing proves that a testimonial doesn’t have to be just a talking-head clip. It can be storytelling that is sincere and unforgettable at the same time.
