Transforming "Fear" into "Hope"

Unveiling the Truth Behind the ICU Doors

Project Background: Behind the Lens

For many, the “ICU” is often perceived as a place of high tension or the final stage of life. However, in reality, the ICU is a “Room of Hope,” equipped with advanced technology and a specialized medical team working tirelessly against the clock.

OUJIA Creative House embraced a challenging brief from Phyathai 2 Hospital to shift the perceptions of patients and their families regarding the ICU. We designed a series of short clips characterized by conciseness, sincerity, and impact, featuring Critical Care Medicine specialists to clarify four key misconceptions:

  • ICU ≠ The End: We redefined the ICU as a space specifically engineered to “sustain life” and maximize the chances of recovery.

  • Distinct Expertise: We highlighted the specialized roles of ICU doctors versus Emergency Room (ER) doctors, emphasizing the 24/7 dedicated care provided for critically ill patients.

  • International Safety Standards: We addressed concerns about infections by showcasing rigorous air management systems and private isolation rooms that meet 100% international safety standards.

  • Bridging the Emotional Gap: We explained the necessity of strict visiting policies while introducing the “Family Meeting” system and regular condition updates, ensuring families remain informed and reassured.

By utilizing a professional yet approachable mood and tone, we successfully bridged the gap between medical staff and the public, transforming technical clinical information into a narrative of profound trust and confidence.
